Intro to Bondage

Many people wonder about bondage but have no idea what it involves.

From the origins of Japanese, rope bondage also known as Shibari, can be traced back to the Edo period (1600- late 1800). Rope bondage is bondage involving the use of rope to restrict movement, wrap, suspend, or restrain a person. Basically bondage has been around for years. The abbreviations BDSM means B/D (Bondage and Discipline), D/s (Dominance and submission), and S/M (Sadism and Masochism)

Some types of BDSM play include, but are not limited to:

  • Bondage

  • Flogging

  • Golden showers (urinating)

  • Predicament bondage

  • Sexual roleplay

  • Spanking

  • Suspension

Some people have tried a little to spice up their sexual relationship, with handcuffs and teasing.  They found it exciting, but the most important rules in bondage role palying  is trust, because one of the partners will be restricted and therefore vulnerable.

What attracts people to bondage the relaxing feeling of being tied up and being pleasured.  The thrill of play-struggle against their restraints, the exciting rush of being spanked and biten. Most importantly the person performing the bondage gets increased feelings of personal power.

So thinking about trying it out : First timer Fun

  • Tie the passive partner up with something that can easily be broken out of, such as paper streamers, or a bondage tape. Then they only have to stay in that position if they want to be there.

  • Blindfolding during sex, massage, or kissing;

  • Furry handcuffs –  fur on the inside to prevent chafing, and can’t close too far (which cuts off the circulation).

  • Try Bed restraints and arousing your partern with ice  cubes

  • Door Swing with a little light spanking

Safety Tips

  • Have a safe word agreed before you begin. This is something that the passive partner can say if they want the other person to stop.  Use a common safe word .

  • Never tie something around someone’s neck unless it is a collar that’s specially made for the purpose. There is a high risk of tissue damage, choking, or fatal strangulation. Similarly, gags are potentially dangerous.

  • If someone is tied up, they must never be left alone.

In the late 1800's Charles Francois Jeandel perhaps was the first to do bondage photography in the west, perhaps in the world
